I have been with OTF Creekside for 2.5 years, one of the many coaches who started working for the first OTF in Calgary that started in April 2014. I am currently a Head Coach at OTF Creekside. Outside of OTF, I am an amateur bodybuilder and a Zumba Instructor. I can be found in the gym and OTF studio anytime of the day. I enjoy participating in obstacle races during the summer and snowboarding in the winter. I am an identical twin. You will not find the second me anywhere because we do not look or act alike,  we are truly opposites. I am a workout-holic!
 
WHAT DO YOU BURN FOR?
I burn for my PROCARD and amazing physique.
 
WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?
Sushi and pinot grigio.
 
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE OTF EXERCISE?
Strength- posterior chain muscles training and love running hills.
I studied at Mt Royal and completed the massage therapy program and practiced for 12 years. I then decided to pursue my passion for fitness and became a group fitness instructor under the AFLCA. I have been teaching group fitness classes for 5 years specializing in spin. I started coaching at OTF when it opened about 2 1/2 years ago. What I like about OTF is the concept of wearing a heart rate monitor and knowing how hard I need to work to see results. The variety of workouts keeps me motivated and they challenge me to work harder than I would on my own.
As a coach I want to motivate and encourage people to find their inner athlete and have fun in the process. It is rewarding to see how being active can change people from the Inside Out!

I enjoy playing badminton, skiing, tennis, biking and beach volleyball. I started playing beach volleyball at a more competetive level about 5 years ago and I am learning that you can get better with age. It's never too late to achieve your goals!

I have been married for 12 years and we have 2 daughters; Janessa who is 11 and Mariah who is 8. We also have a dog named "Bella" who adds a little more energy to the house. We enjoy many ativities such as biking, skiing, climbing, baking, playing games and travelling.

Something about me that you may not know, I am originally a small town girl, I grew up in Watson Lake, Yukon.

 
 
WHAT DO YOU BURN FOR?
I burn to stay fit, to have more energy, to brighten my day so I can brighten other peoples day.
 
WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?
My guilty pleasures are pizza, chips and anything cheesy.
 
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE OTF EXERCISE?
My favorite workouts are partner workouts because they push me out of my comfort zone.
 
 
WHAT DO YOU BURN FOR?
I want to set a good example for my kids so they can live a healthy and long life.
 
WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?
Dark chocolate and red wine. I am also really tempted by tortilla chips and salsa.

ESP. I like the variety

HEART MONITORED TRAINING

 

Backed by the science of post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), our heart-rate monitored training is designed to keep heart rates in a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Our clients burn an estimated 500 to 1000 calories per workout. We are 5 zone heart-rate interval training.

COACH SUPPORT

 

Working out in a group provides accountability and structure to help achieve fitness goals. You are more likely to get a great workout and better results from the well-rounded movements and pace direction you get in a group setting. The session motivates each other to pick up the pace and reach beyond plateaus. People who workout in groups stick to their goals more consistently than those that workout alone.
